Teaching Assistant - Maternity Cover at Sandford School
The Governors, Executive Headteacher of the Exe Valley Federation and Head of Sandford School wish to recruit staff to the following post from 30th October 2023, or sooner if possible.
TEACHING ASSISTANT
We would like to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work at Sandford School to support the learning and well-being of two children with additional needs; both children have EHCPs in place to guide their educational provision and are well-established members of the school community.
If you are a skilled and experienced TA who would like to join the EVF team, we would love to hear from you. An understanding of the challenges faced by children with autistic spectrum needs and the ability to use Makaton sign language would be an advantage but is not essential.
This is a maternity leave post from 30th October 2023 until the post holder’s return, which could be up until 29th October 2024.
The salary for this post is £11.18 - £11.59 per hour, depending on experience and is for term time only and includes 5 non-pupil days (39 weeks per year). A full working day is 8.45am to 3.45pm. This post is for every morning and three afternoons per week [8.45am to 12.15pm and then 1.15pm to 3.45pm with a half hour lunch break and 30 minute lunchtime duty] but some flexibility around working hours may be needed.
More details about the post available and information about arranging a visit to the school can be obtained by contacting the Executive Headteacher, John Jolliffe, via the school office at Cheriton Fitzpaine [01363 866456]

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of safeguarding and hold an Enhanced DBS check. We will conduct social media checks on the profile of shortlisted candidates.
