Exe ValleyFarmwise trip (Note new leaving time of 9am)

Dear parents and carers of pupils in KS2,
We are very excited to be visiting this year’s Farmwise event, which is to be held at Westpoint Arena on Tuesday 10th October.
During this event, children will learn:
- More about farming in Devon County Council
- How food is produced on Devon’s Farms
- How farming links to the Countryside

We will be leaving school at 9am, so please could we ask all pupils to be in school by 8:40 on this day. We will be back in time for the end of the school day. Pupils will need to wear their usual school uniform, comfortable shoes, and a waterproof coat. Children will also need a packed lunch and water bottle. If your child usually receives free school meals please let us know if you would like a school packed lunch.
We have booked a coach for this event, and are asking parents for a voluntary contribution of £5 to cover this. We will also need 4 parent helpers. Ideally 2 of these would also be able to drive a carload of children as we have too many for the coach! Please let us know if you would be able to accompany, and if you are able to drive. The £5 transport cost will not apply to any volunteers!
